IRLOGI Breakfast Briefing - OpenStreetMap - Thurs 17th May 30-04-2012   7.30am Chartered Accountants House, Pearse Street, Dublin 2   OpenStreetMap is a free worldwide map, created by the public at large. The data is free to download and use under its open license. The map is constantly being improved, refined and extended by its worldwide user base, which now exceeds 550,000 registered editors, and the data is being widely used both inside and outside the Geographic Information community.   At this breakfast briefing, organised by IRLOGI, attendees will be given a whistle stop tour of the project, from its past to its future. Due to unanticipated circumstances, a small number of last-minute places are available on the MSc in Applied Science (GIS and Remote Sensing) programme at UCC, for entry in September 2011. Applications for these places will be received, via the online PAC system and quoting course code CKR09, until the new and final deadline of 1st September.
